COVID-19 in Schools

Case of COVID-19 identified at Harry Balfour School, one more at Whispering Ridge

Nov 5, 2020 | 10:51 AM

The Peace Wapiti Public School Division says two more cases of COVID-19 have been identified in two more individuals within the division.

On Wednesday, the division was notified of one case being reported at Harry Balfour School, along with a new case at Whispering Ridge Community School.

The division says Harry Balfour will remain open to all students not identified as close contacts, while Whispering Ridge will continue with its temporary shift to at-home learning, after the school was closed on Monday due to the number of close contacts identified within the school and a lack of available staff.

The division says remote learning is being provided to all individuals isolating, and that the schools have been disinfected.
