Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers in Grande Prairie will be holding another auction next week which will heavily feature equipment from a former oil and gas company in the area.

Of the over 4,700 items up for bid at the Grande Prairie site, over 900 of those are for the complete dispersal of equipment from NTL Pipelines Inc.

“NTL Pipelines has one of the nicest lineups of pipeline equipment in North America and they’ve spared no effort in preparing the items for auction,” said Terry Moon, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros, in a news release.

“We have late-model dozers, excavators, transportation equipment, water storage and pumping assets, ag equipment, farmland, and more.”

The auction, which goes from November 23 to 26, will also include 82 pipelayers consigned by NTL Pipelines.

“We have always taken great care of our equipment and have provided Ritchie Bros. 400-500 documents outlining maintenance records, work orders, and certifications for our assets—we want buyers to know that our equipment is ready to go to work right away,” said John Neudorf, owner of NTL Pipelines, in that same release.

One of those pipelayers being auctioned off is a bright pink one, named the Eva Marie. Neudorf created the Eva Marie after his sister, who lost her battle with cancer.

NTL had been donating all revenue generated from the Eva Marie to cancer research, and now all proceeds from the sale of the pink pipelayer will be going to the Community Foundation of Northwest Alberta’s Eva Marie Fund.

“For the past year this pipelayer has been the first one on and last to leave the job site and we have donated any revenue it has generated to a charitable foundation established in my sister’s honor,” adds Neudorf in the release. “Thank you, Ritchie Bros., for supporting us in this charitable endeavor and we hope the new owner will continue to fight for the cause.”

NTL Pipelines halted operations earlier this fall, which resulted in layoffs to hundreds of employees. EverythingGP has not been able to confirm the exact number of employees who were laid off.

The auction is set to go completely online this year, A full list of items up for auction can be found here.
