Power play pushes Storm past Spruce Grove

A three goal night from their power play allowed the Grande Prairie Storm to pull out a 5-4 win over Spruce Grove on Saturday night.

Paycen Bjorklund scored twice, including the game winner on – you guessed it – a power play about five-and-a-half minutes into the third.

Dan McIntyre, Zac Sirota and Curtis Hammond also scored for the Storm, who jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, only to trail the Saints 3-2 after one period.

The game was tied at 4 after 40 minutes.

Garin Bjorklund had another busy night in the Storm net, making 38 saves.
