Storm Defenseman Mason named AJHL Defensive Player of the Week

Nov 24, 2020 | 2:14 PM

The Alberta Junior Hockey League has named Grande Prairie Storm Defenseman Cade Mason the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week.

This past weekend in Spruce Grove, Mason registered four points in the two games against the Saints, helping his team earn three of a possible four points on the road.

The 19-year-old is off to a strong start to his second full AJHL season. This year he’s recorded seven points in four games and is well on pace to top his point total from last season of 24 points in 45 games.

Mason and the Storm will return to Revolution Place this weekend. They will host the Lloydminister Bobcats for a back to back on November 27 and 28. Both games start at 7:00 p.m.
