COVID-19 outbreak confirmed at Peace River Correctional Centre

An outbreak of COVID-19 has been confirmed at the Peace River Correctional Centre.

Alberta Health tells EverythingGP that there are currently 11 total cases at the facility, all of which are active as of November 25.

The centre is currently the only COVID-19 outbreak site listed in the Peace River area.

Shifting to outbreaks in the Grande Prairie area, the Grande Prairie Care Centre is down to four active cases. Five people at the facility have recovered and one has died.

All COVID-19 cases connected to the Victory Church on the Rock in Grande Prairie have also recovered. There were 21 total cases linked to the church.

There are currently no active cases at the Prairie Lakes Seniors Facility. It had a total of four cases.
