Grande Prairie resident brings home $1 million LOTTO 6/49 win

A Grande Prairie resident is now $1 million richer.

Deciding to stop in at the Circle K in Cobblestone (92 Street and 92nd Avenue) in late November, Clement Kawi wound up purchasing the winning Lotto 6/49 ticket for the November 28 SuperDraw event.

“I went in… not knowing that I was carrying a winning ticket,” said Kawi, in the release, recalling that he scanned the ticket twice the next day using the store’s ticket checker, before getting the cashier to validate it.

Kawi’s ticket matched the winning number of 24915289-01.

In a release from the AGLC, Kawi says he plans to use the windfall to pay off his house and get rid of some debt, and will invest the rest.
