Two men have been arrested in Grande Prairie following an RCMP Drug Unit investigation.

Back in September, members of the Grande Prairie RCMP Municipal Drug Unit began an investigation into the sale of illicit drugs in the city.

On November 14, the drug unit, along with the RCMP Police Dog Services and Grande Prairie RCMP General Duty team executed a search warrant on two residences in the Highland Park and Avondale neighbourhoods.

During the investigation, police seized:

  • 60.8 grams of powder and crack cocaine
  • 196 Oxycodone pills
  • $14,040 in Canadian currency
  • Electronic money counter

Twenty-six-year-old Quaddien Davis from Mississauga, Ontario and Taurean Adams of Edmonton, have both been charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Oxycodone
  • Possession of property obtained by crime

Both Davis and Adams are scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on January 6, 2021.

Davis was already facing charges after being arrested after a three-week investigation led to a search of a Grande Prairie apartment in August. He is facing possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime under $5000. He was due back in court Wednesday. A warrant remains out for his co-accused, Wayne Jones.
