Grande Prairie resident finds stolen bicycle listed for sale online, suspect charged

Grande Prairie RCMP say a stolen bicycle has been recovered after the person it belonged to found it listed on an online buy and sell site earlier this week.

Mounties say they found the seller on the north side of Grande Prairie and an arrest was made after a short foot pursuit.

Twenty-nine-year-old Ryan Bateson of Grande Prairie has been charged with resisting arrest and possession of property obtained by crime. He is due in court on January 18.

RCMP say any property crime under $5000 can now be reported online.
