Power outages reported in Grande Prairie Friday

UPDATE: Power has been restored to most affected areas.

ATCO Electric says over 3,000 customers have been affected by a power outage that has hit several neighbourhoods in Grande Prairie Friday afternoon.

ATCO says the Highland Park, Patterson, Swanavon, Creekside, Cobblestone and Riverstone areas have all been affected by the outage, as well as parts of Lakeland. The cause of the outage is being investigated.

They say 4:30 p.m. is the estimated restoration time.
