Feb 2, 2021 | 2:03 PM

The City of Grande Prairie will be hosting an online information session later this month in advance of the beginning of Phase 4 of the Downtown Rehabilitation project.

Phase 4 of the project will be happening on 100 Avenue between west of 100 Street and 98 Street, with construction scheduled to begin in May 2021 and is projected to go until the end of October.

The project will see work such as sanitary and storm water service upgrades, work on sidewalks, walkways, curbs, gutters, roads, and landscaping, among other things, at a cost of $14 million.

The cost of the project was included in the City’s 2021 capital budget.

The online information session will cover off topics such as the scope of work, the sequencing and timeline of the work and the draft traffic plans the city has drawn up.

The session goes online on Tuesday, February 23 at 4:30 p.m. Those interested in attending must register in advance, which can be completed by clicking here.
