Collisions near DeBolt, Beaverlodge affecting Highway 43 traffic

Update #3 (7:20 p.m.): The accident scene near Range Road 95 on Highway 43, southest of Beaverlodge, has been cleared and all lanes have reopened.

Crew remain on scene west of DeBolt on Highway 43, and eastbound traffic is reduced to one lane.

UPDATE #2 (5:30 p.m.): One lane has reopened for eastbound traffic along Highway 43 west of DeBolt, though crews stills remain on scene and delays are expected.

511 Alberta says the multi-vehicle collision southeast of Beaverlodge near Range Road 95 is still impacting traffic in the area.

UPDATE: Both the eastbound lanes of Highway 43 just west of DeBolt, and both directions of Highway 43 southeast of Beaverlodge near Range Road 95 are closed due to motor vehicle collisions.

An accident along the eastbound section of Highway 43 just west of DeBolt has halted traffic in that direction.

511 Alberta says to find an alternate route, as all eastbound lanes are closed at this time near Range Road 13, east of Trapper Gord’s.

The accident is one of several reported Tuesday in the Grande Prairie area, as a snowfall warning remains in affect into Tuesday afternoon.

A multi-vehicle collision is also being reported just southeast of Beaverlodge on Highway 43. Single lane, alternating traffic is currently in affect there.

511 Alberta says all Grande Prairie area highways are at least partly covered with snow/ice as the snow continues to fall.
