
Seven Generations, ARC Resources to merge in deal worth $8.1B
ARC Resources LTD. and Seven Generations Energy LTD. announced Wednesday that they have agreed to an all-stock merger deal worth $8.1 billion, that would create one of Canada’s largest producers of natural gas.
The deal will see the merged company become the biggest producer in the Montney play, with the ability to produce 340,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2021.
The company will operate under the name of ARC Resources Ltd. and remain headquartered in Calgary. Currently, Seven Generations is headquartered in Grande Prairie, which will become a field operation headquarter for the company, as will Dawson Creek and Drayton Valley.
Seven Generations shareholders will receive 1.108 common shares of ARC for each common share of Seven Generations held, as part of the deal.
