Extreme cold warning lifted for Grande Prairie area

After over a week of frigid temperatures in the Grande Prairie area, Environment Canada has lifted the extreme cold warning that has been in place since Feb. 6.
Temperatures over the past week have reached past minus 40 at times, with wind chill values bringing that to feeling below minus 50.
The forecast for Family Day Monday in Grande Prairie, according to Environment Canada, is minus 15 with a chance of flurries. Tuesday calls for a high of minus 14.
