Two displaced after trailer destroyed in evening fire

Two occupants of the Happy Trails RV Park in Grande Prairie have been displaced after their trailer was destroyed in a fire.

At about 6:45 p.m. on Monday, February 15, the Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to reports of an RV fire, and upon arriving at the scene, crews discovered the fire had fully engulfed the trailer and addition.

The Grande Prairie Fire Department says the fire was caused by a propane construction heater, which was being used under the trailer to thaw pipes.

A full investigation into the fire is expected to be completed on February 16.
