Search of Montrose home leads drug trafficking charges for Grande Prairie man
A 57-year-old Grande Prairie man is facing drug trafficking charges, following an investigation that led to the seizure of meth, crack cocaine and fentanyl at a Montrose neighbourhood home earlier this month.
Authorities say they received complaints from Montrose area residents, which led to the investigation being initiated.
On Feb. 12, members of the Grande RCMP Municipal Enforcement Drug Unit executed a search warrant at the Grande Prairie home. The search resulted in the seizure of 160 grams of methamphetamine, 44 grams of fentanyl, 20 grams of crack cocaine and $10,500 cash.
David Ernest Kendell is now charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000 and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.
