Traffic lights being replaced at four Grande Prairie intersections
The City of Grande Prairie will be installing new traffic signals at four locations over the next two weeks.
Crews will be working periodically at two intersections along 100 Street, those being at 124 Avenue and 121 Avenue. Replacement work will also be done at the intersections of 108 Street and 104 Avenue, as well as Lakeland Drive and 116 Avenue.
The work will include the installation of new traffic signal poles and removal of old infrastructure. The city says there may be times when lanes will be closed for construction at these locations, though they add crews are anticipated to complete some overnight work to avoid major disruptions during peak travel times.
“The City reminds the public to watch for equipment and workers that may be present in the work area. Please obey all signage and proceed with caution.”
