Bezanson’s Aaron Peck has completed the 2021 Iditarod Sled Dog Race, finishing in 14th place.

Peck arrived at the Deshka Landing finish line at 1:05 a.m. Alaska time Tuesday morning, completing “The Last Great Race” with a time of eight days, ten hours, five minutes and 46 seconds.

The 40-year-old Peck completed his eighth running at the event after having to bow out in 2020. Peck reached the finish line despite being down to just seven dogs, which is half of the number of dogs he started with before leaving Deshka Landing on March 7.

American Dallas Seavey won this year’s pandemic-shorted version, finishing early Monday morning. The win was Seavey’s fifth career Iditarod title, which is tied for the most all-time in the event’s 48-year history.
