Mar 23, 2021 | 12:11 PM

Devin Aubin of Falher, Alberta picked up his first goal in the Western Hockey League on Monday, as his Swift Current Broncos earned their first win of the season with a 5-2 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders.

The 18-year-old defenseman scored his first goal in the WHL at the 2:23 mark of the second period to put his Broncos up 3-1. The goal from Aubin would turn out to be the game-winner and was also his first point in the WHL.

From 2016-2020, Aubin played his minor hockey for the U15, U16 and U18 AAA Grande Prairie Storm. He also had the opportunity to appear in a game for the Grande Prairie Storm of the AJHL earlier this season.

Aubin and the Broncos are playing their 24 game regular-season schedule this year in a bubble in Regina, Saskatchewan. They hold a record of 1-5-0.
