Second period power play dominance pushes Drayton Valley past Storm

The Drayton Valley Thunder scored three times with the power play in the second period, then hung on for a 4-3 win over the Grande Prairie Storm in AJHL play on Friday night.

Paycen Bjorklund had a three-point night to lead the Storm attack, scoring on a second period power play and setting up Dan McIntyre’s first period goal, and Nathaniel Bierd’s marker early in the third.

Devin Chapman made 35 saves for the Storm, who have bow lost two ib a row and three of their last four.

The club heads into Whitecourt Saturday night.
