Woman charged following robbery at Fox Creek liquor store

A woman has been charged following a robbery at a liquor store in Fox Creek Tuesday night.

Just before 11:45 p.m. on Mar. 30, Fox Creek RCMP were called to the store on Commercial Court. Police say the female suspect in this case assaulted two employees before removing cash from the register. She then fled the area.

One employee suffered an arm injury after being struck with an object, while the second employee suffered minor injuries during the assault.

The suspect was then identified as 31-year-old Amanda Marie Bentley of no fixed address, who was arrested a short time later.

Bentley has been charged with robbery, assault with a weapon and assault. She has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Fox Creek Provincial Court on April 26.
