Not guilty verdict for second accused in 2016 drug arrest
Alberta Justice says a second person charged after a 2016 ALERT drug bust in Grande Prairie has been found not guilty.
Karmen Singh Grewal from Langley, B.C. was found not guilty of two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property March 25 in Grande Prairie court.
He was one of two people charged after a search of two Grande Prairie homes in October of 2016.
The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team said at the time that over a kilogram of cocaine, 150 fentanyl pills, marijuana, GHB, body armour, and more than $56,000 cash were seized. The search and seizures came after a month-long investigation.
