Virtual Scavenger Hunt

Virtual scavenger launched to give away tuition, help new students learn about GPRC

Grande Prairie Regional College has launched a virtual scavenger hunt to have prospective and new students learn more about the school, as well as have a chance to win some money.

The scavenger hunt will see four lucky winners earn tuition vouchers valued at $2,000.

“Over the last year with COVID-19 we’ve all gotten quite used to virtual connections and processes,” said Vanessa Sheane, Interim Vice-President, Academic and Research at GPRC in a release.

“Our GPRC student engagement team thought it was the perfect time to inject a little fun into our online enrollment process for new certificate, diploma or university transfer program students.”

The contest, which runs from April 8 to July 1, will involve the students visiting GPRC’s website, where a unique scavenger hunt cookie can be downloaded. Once that’s done, the participants will explore the school’s website, collecting various ‘back to school’ themed icons placed on some of the more informative pages.

The goal of the scavenger hunt is to have the students learn more about the school as they hunt for the 10 icons.

Participants will be entered into a grand prize draw once the scavenger hunt is completed.

Only new students who have officially enrolled in a program at GPRC, have been accepted, and are registered for courses in the 2021-22 academic year are eligible for the tuition voucher prizes.
