Dream Home, 50/50 and Cash Cow Calendar lotteries

Final week of ticket sales for Dream Home Lottery

Apr 19, 2021 | 1:06 PM

It’s the final week for people to buy tickets for the 28th Rotary Dream Home Lottery.

Over 82 per cent of the Dream Home tickets have been sold, but Raffle Manager Melissa Coloumbe says there is still a high bar they want to get over this year.

“We would really like to hit that 90 per cent by the end of this week,” said Coloumbe, adding it’s been a difficult year to sell tickets as the home has been closed to visitors due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Despite that, she’s still confident that they can reach that threshold before the end of the week.

The major fundraising event for the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie also features a 50/50 raffle and the Cash Cow Calendar lottery.

Coloumbe says the 50/50 raffle is getting a lot of attention.

“Our 50/50 is over $530,000 now, so that’s going to be a pretty exciting payday for someone next week.”

The Cash Cow Calendar, meanwhile, will see a lot of cash prizes handed out to lucky winners.

“The Cash Cow Calendar is your chance to win up to $10,000 a day each weekday in May. So in May, there will be a draw each day for cash in various amounts. So it is the best odds, the best chance to win, there will be 20 draws and each winner will also receive a $50 gift card from Keddie’s Tack and Western Wear.”

Along with giving away some prizes, the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie uses these lotteries to raise money to support their partner organizations and to fund their own endeavors and projects.

The deadline to buy tickets for all three of these lotteries is Sunday, April 25, at midnight. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 780-513-8887 or toll-free at 1-855-230-8887.

The winner of the $1.3-million Dream Home located in Taylor Estates, as well as the 50/50 winner, will be announced on Facebook on Wednesday, April 28.
