A fire at a multi-family building in the Avondale neighbourhood in Grande Prairie late Sunday night has left multiple residents displaced, though no injuries have been reported.

The Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to the fire at around 11:20 p.m. on April 18. Fire department officials say crews were faced with a “significant amount fire” upon arrival at the multi-unit residential building. The fire was quickly knocked down the fire and all the units were searched for occupants inside.

The cause of the blaze is not known at this time and is currently being investigated by the city fire marshall.
