No injuries have been reported following a fire at a townhouse in the Lakeland neighbourhood of Grande Prairie late Sunday morning.
The Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to the blaze at 11:44 a.m. Upon arrival, smoke and fire were seen coming from the second-floor window of the townhouse unit, extending up the exterior siding.
Crews say they were able to quickly extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading to the remainder of the units and attic of the building.
No one was hurt but the occupants of the home have been displaced. All other occupants in the complex have been allowed to return to their units.
