Three Grande Prairie playgrounds closed as structures are replaced

Jun 1, 2021 | 5:41 PM

T.J. Gorman Park, Annie Higbee Park and Kyra Paull Park playground structures are being replaced, meaning the playgrounds will be closed for approximately six weeks.

The new playground equipment being installed is for children aged 2 to 12 and is intended to be more inclusive than the previous structures.

The playground will also now feature a wood chip surface instead of the sand.

The playgrounds are located near the following places:

  • T.J. Gorman: Crystal Lake Drive, south of 124 Avenue
  • Annie Higbee: 91 A Street north of 105 Avenue in Crystal Heights
  • Kyra Paull: Near the intersection of 60 A Avenue and 90A Street in Countryside South

More information on the project can be found at the City of Grande Prairie’s website.
