Jun 11, 2021 | 2:24 PM

The Grande Prairie Museum, Heritage Village, and the Heritage Discovery Centre will be reopening to the public on Tuesday, June 15, in alignment with Stage 2 of Alberta’s “Open for Summer” Plan, which commenced on June 10.

The Grande Prairie Museum and Heritage Village will be open Tuesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and weekends from noon to 6:00 p.m.

The Heritage Discovery Centre at Centre 2000 will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday.

All provincial health orders remain in place at each location, including mandatory face masks, physical distancing, and capacity limitations.

The city says there are some new showcases, exhibits, and artifacts at the venues for the public to check out, including the “Recycling: Then & Now” exhibit at the Grande Prairie Museum and the “And They’re Off: A History of Sport in Grande Prairie” at the Heritage Discovery Centre.

The Heritage Village will also open new areas at the Tempest House, including the upstairs bedroom and a new laundry room created on the first floor.
