City of Grande Prairie lifting capacity restrictions for Canada Day events
The City of Grande Prairie says in alignment with the provincial government’s Open for Summer plan, all COVID-19 restrictions on capacity limits at Canada Day live performances will be lifted.
Previously, the Picnic in the Park event from noon to 5 p.m. in Muskoseepi Park was only open for those who had booked time slots. The event will now be open for everyone to attend at their leisure.
The Plaza Rock event, which goes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. outside of Revolution Place, will also go ahead at full venue capacity. Tickets for that can be purchased here.
“We’re really looking forward to bringing people together to enjoy Canada Day and celebrate everything that is Canada,” said Interim Mayor Jackie Clayton.
