UPDATE: 511 Alberta says Highway 40 south of 68 Avenue has reopened following a motor vehicle collision Thursday morning.

Highway 40 between 68 Avenue and Highway 668 (the correction line) is closed due to a collision near Dunvegan Gardens.

The collision occurred just before 7 a.m. Thursday morning.

Detours are in place while emergency crews attend the scene.
