Jun 25, 2021 | 10:43 AM

Pedestrian bridges throughout the Muskoseepi Park trail system are set to receive some maintenance work starting Monday.

The city says starting June 28, JMS Construction will be conducting work such as bridge washing, painting, deck treatments and repairing approach rails over the next two weeks.

They say work at each bridge will take approximately one day. Pedestrians during work will be temporarily rerouted on those days.

The bridges that will be worked on include:

  • North of the reservoir
  • Near the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion
  • At the Grande Prairie Museum
  • South of 99 Avenue
  • Near 94 Avenue
  • Near 89 Avenue
  • Near 84 Avenue
  • Near 81 Avenue
  • Near 79 Avenue
  • Near 76 Avenue
  • Near 71 Avenue
  • Southwest and southeast ends of Muskoseepi Park

The work is part of the city’s Bridge Repair and Maintenance Program, which they describe as a proactive approach for identifying maintenance needs to prevent minor structural defects from becoming worse, thus extending the life of the bridges

Specific details on work at each site can be found on the city’s website.
