Intersection Closing

Intersection of 100 Ave./St. closing starting July 1 as Downtown Rehab continues

Jun 28, 2021 | 2:26 PM

The intersection of 100 Avenue and 100 Street is closing to traffic starting July 1 as work on the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project rolls forward.

The city says the closure is needed for the replacement of all underground infrastructure which hasn’t been already, including storm, sanitary, and water lines. Roadways, concrete curbs and gutters, as well as sidewalks, will also be replaced.

Along with that intersection, 100 Avenue between 100 Street to west of 98 Street remains closed. With that, the city has provided an updated detour map to avoid the areas of construction.

With the closure, 100 Avenue between 100 Street and 101 Street will allow for two-way traffic and a cul-de-sac, adjacent to the 100 Avenue and 100 Street intersection. Parking will also be allowed on either side of the road to allow for access to businesses.
