Jul 5, 2021 | 1:31 PM

The Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling has announced the Tour Challenge event scheduled for Grande Prairie in late September has been postponed.

“Due to the impact of evolving COVID-19 situation, and in conjunction with local health authorities and the community organizers, the Grand Slam series has postponed the Tour Challenge in Grande Prairie,” said the Tour in a statement.

“Additionally, the Master, originally set to be hosted in Sarnia, Ontario, will be relocated. We look forward to visiting these communities during the 2022-23 season.”

In a statement released on July 5, the league announced that it will be returning for a full season in 2021-22 starting in October.

The original Tour Challenge event was scheduled to take place at the Coca-Cola Centre from November 3-8 in 2020, before being rescheduled for September 21-26, 2021.

No makeup date for Grande Prairie has been announced.
