Two people have been charged after the Grande Prairie RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant on a home in the Crystal Ridge area of Grande Prairie last week, which resulted in the seizure of drugs, weapons and cash.

On July 6, with the help of general duty officers, a search warrant was conducted on the home in the area of 94 Street and 121 Avenue. The search resulted in the seizure of 80 grams of suspected fentanyl, 75 grams of suspected meth, five grams of suspected cocaine, 100 prescription pills, a loaded .32 calibre revolver, 88 rounds of .32 calibre ammunition, a crossbow and just under $3,000 cash.

Two individuals, including one who was wanted on several outstanding warrants on unrelated matters, were arrested at the home.

With that, 35-year-old Stacey Trotter of Grande Prairie has been charged with ten offences related to this search, including two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a firearm contrary to order and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
