Paleo-Palooza starts Saturday at dinosaur museum

Jul 15, 2021 | 2:34 PM

The Philip J. Curie Dinosaur Museum will be launching Paleo-Palooza Saturday.

A release from the museum calls this “a summer-long festival offering something for dinosaur lovers of all ages.”

It will include a series of four events being held on Saturdays with the first one this weekend and the last one August 21.

“Our patrons have a great thirst for understanding more about how this region has evolved from 73 million years ago when it was a lush forest not far from the sea and home to dozens of species of dinosaurs,” said Executive Director Linden Roberts in a release.

“Palaeo-Palooza offers fun and learning for the whole family with guest speakers, activities, crafts, and bonebed visits.”

The events will include chances to learn about wildlife and volcanoes, check dinosaur tracks and fossils, and hear presentations from various speakers.

A detailed list can be found on the dinosaur museum’s website. Anyone interest can also email visitorservices@dinomuseum.ca or call 587-771-0662.
