Local products take part in 2021 Alberta Open

Grande Prairie product Kent Fukushima finished with a five-over-par total of 218, good for a tie for 16th place at the 2021 Alberta Open.

Fukushima now plays out of the Redwood Meadows Golf & Country Club located on the Tsuu T’ina First Nation west of Calgary.

Jake Willsey of the Grande Prairie Golf & Country Club finished with a 14-over total of 227 for the three rounds. He tied for 39th overall and tied for 24th among amateur players.

Calgary’s Riley Fleming won with a 12 under total of 201, six shots ahead of his nearest competitor.

The Alberta Open was played Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Wolf Creek Golf Course located near Ponoka.
