One deceased in vehicle rollover near Canyon Creek

A 56-year-old man is deceased after his vehicle rolled over on Highway 2 east of Canyon Creek.

Slave Lake RCMP, along with fire services and emergency medical services, were called to the scene of the collision at approximately 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 24.

The preliminary investigation determined that the pick-up truck involved in the collision was traveling east on Highway 2 when it crossed into the westbound lane. The truck then left the road and rolled into the north ditch.

The lone occupant, a man from Kinuso, Alberta, was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Slave Lake RCMP’s investigation into the incident is ongoing, and it’s not expected that any further details will be released.
