A Western Hockey League trade completed on Tuesday includes a player from the Peace Country.
The Regina Pats have sent 20-year-old forward Carter Massier to the Victoria Royals for 18-year-old goalie Keegan Maddocks.
Massier is from Peace River and has been with the Pats for the last three seasons. He recorded 13 goals and 27 points in 91 career games with the Pats.
“We wish Carter all the best in Victoria. He has been a good player for us on and off the ice over the past three seasons,” says Pats VP of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Paddock in a news release posted to the Pats website.
