Peace Regional RCMP say a pedestrian remains in hospital and is in stable condition after being hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning.

Mounties say the 20-year-old pedestrian was walking in the lane of oncoming traffic on Range Road 212A near Peace River just after 1:30 a.m.

Police say the pedestrian, who they believe was intoxicated, was hit by a 58-year-old driving an SUV at the time.

RCMP described the man’s injuries as serious and life-threatening.
