100 Avenue and 98 Street intersection closing Tuesday
The City of Grande Prairie is closing the intersection 100 Avenue and 98 Street for approximately four weeks starting Tuesday, August 10.
That closure comes the same day as the city is set to re-open the intersection of 100 Avenue and 100 Street, after that intersection had been closed since early July.
This work is part of the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project. The City says the closure of 100 Avenue and 98 Street is to accommodate upgrades to underground utilities including storm, sanitary, and water lines, along with road and sidewalk work.
The city says by improving the existing underground utility network, it will allow for higher density development in the downtown core.
