The City of Grande Prairie has provided an update on the Downtown Rehabilitation Project.

In the latest update, the city says paving remains ongoing at the intersection of 100 Street and 100 Avenue, meaning it will not open as hoped on Tuesday.

The intersection, closed since early July, was anticipated to be opened by August 3, but was delayed to August 10 due to weather-related delays.

The city adds it is now anticipated the paving will be completed on the evening of August 11. Following the completion of the paving, the road will re-open to traffic.
