UPDATE: The wind warning issued by Environment Canada for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview forecast area has ended.

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview forecast area.

According to Environment Canada, strong westerly winds could reach up to 90 km/h and will continue into the early evening hours.

The strong wind gusts are expected to diminish late in the evening.

Because of the strong winds, damage to buildings, such as roof shingles and windows may occur.

Loose objects may also be tossed by the win and damage could be caused.
