bjorklund commits to concordia

Local product Bjorklund commits to University of Concordia

Former Grande Prairie Storm forward Paycen Bjorklund will be committing to the University of Concordia in Montreal of USports to continue his hockey career.

The 20-year-old Grande Prairie native previously spent from 2017-20 playing for the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League.

In the 2020-21 shortened season, Bjorklund returned home to play for the Storm where he registered 17 points in 17 games.

“Very excited to start the next chapter of my life and career in Montreal,” said Bjorklund in a release.

Paycen is also the older brother of Garin Bjorklund, who is currently playing for the Medicine Hat Tigers.
