WILDFIRE DANGER HIGH

Wildfire danger level moved to high for Grande Prairie Forest Area

Aug 10, 2021 | 5:45 PM

Because of strong and gusty winds and warm temperatures heading for the Grande Prairie area, Alberta Wildfire has moved the wildfire danger level to high for the Grande Prairie Forest Area.

Currently, there is one active wildfire listed as under control in the Grande Prairie Forest Area.

Since March 1, 2021, there have been 88 wildfires burning nearly 130 hectares in the Grande Prairie Forest Area.

While the wildfire danger level has been moved to high, it doesn’t mean there is a fire ban.
