Family Passes Available

DeBolt, Grande Cache libraries offering “Day at the Museum” thanks to pilot program

Aug 17, 2021 | 2:10 PM

Users of the Grande Cache and DeBolt libraries will be able to borrow family passes to the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum, thanks to a pilot project undertaken by the museum and the MD of Greenview.

As part of the pilot program, two Family Membership Cards have been gifted to the DeBolt Public Library and Grande Cache Municipal Library for families to be able to take out, just as they would a book. Each card provides a family of two adults and up to four children with one day, unlimited entry to the museum.

It also gives the borrower 10% off dining at the Café on 43 Restaurant, 10% off gift shop purchases, and discounts on theatre bookings.

“The museum is delighted to partner with libraries in the region,” said Executive Director of the museum Linden Roberts. “We hope this is the first of many partnerships between us and the MD of Greenview as we introduce travelling programs, full-day field trips and festivals.”

Greenview Reeve Dale Smith says this program builds on a partnership the municipality signed in January of 2019 with the museum.

“We’re pleased that two libraries in our district get to participate in the pilot project and that families in those areas will benefit from this project as well,” Smith added.

The Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum is located about 81 km from DeBolt and 206 km from Grande Cache.
