Wildfire danger level for Grande Prairie Forest Area moved to low

The wildfire danger level for the Grande Prairie Forest Area has been moved to low thanks to cool and wet temperatures that have made their way into Grande Prairie.

At this moment there are two active wildfires burning in the Grande Prairie Forest Area. One near Clairmont is listed as under control, while the other burning on the British Columbia and Alberta border is listed as being held.

Since March 1, 2021 there have been 93 wildfires burning nearly 130 hectares in the Grande Prairie Forest Area.
