Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview forecast area, as between 50-75 mm of rain is expected to fall by Thursday.
The weather office says rainfall is expected to be sustained, at times heavy, and is expected to continue until it tapers off by Thursday.
They add there is a possibility of localized flooding in low-lying areas, and area residents should watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
The warning is also in place for the Peace River, Grande Cache and Fox Creek forecast areas.
