Flair Airlines suspending service to Grande Prairie

Sep 2, 2021 | 2:35 PM

Flair Airlines says it will be suspending service out of Grande Prairie for the fall and winter, with the last flights from either Vancouver or Toronto departing on Saturday, September 11.

The news was confirmed in an email to EverythingGP Thursday, after the Grande Prairie Airport shared on social media that it had been informed of potential changes to the airlines schedule out of YQU.

“Passengers who have already booked will be given the option to rebook or get a refund,” says a Flair spokesperson, in the email.

The service out of Grande Prairie began just one month ago from the Edmonton-based airline to Canada’s two largest cities, with the first flight taking off on August 1.

The airline says the suspension is slated to last until next summer, but no specific date or time frame was given for if and when service would resume.
