Frost Advisory

Frost advisory issued for Grande Prairie area

Sep 2, 2021 | 3:33 PM

Environment Canada has issued a frost for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview forecast area.

The weather office says clearing skies will cause temperatures to drop to near or below zero tonight in the region, and that patchy frost is expected.

They say to cover up outdoor plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.

Environment Canada issues frost advisories when temperatures are expected to lead to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops, especially during growing season.

An advisory is also in place for the Peace River, High Level and Fox Creek forecast areas.
