Sep 8, 2021 | 3:30 PM

Elections Canada says a combined 400 workers are needed to help run the polls on September 20 in the Grande Prairie area, and northern Alberta.

Registration Officers, Central Poll Supervisors, Deputy Returning Officers, and Information Officers positions are all needed to be filled.

All workers who are successful applicants will be trained and receive $54.65 for their training session. Workers will be paid between $17-23 per hour to work the polls depending on the position. Poll workers are also paid overtime if their shift is longer than expected.

While on shift, poll workers will be required to wear masks, while health and safety measures will be in place at all locations.

Anyone interested in applying for a job can do so by heading to elections.ca or by calling 1-800-463-6868.
