Peace Region curlers participating in the Saville Shootout this weekend

Some curlers from the Peace Region will be competing in the Saville Shootout in Edmonton this weekend.

Draw 1 will start at 10 a.m. Friday morning.

Team Scheidegger, which includes Cary-Anne McTaggart and Kristie Moore of Grande Prairie will take on Edmonton’s Melissa Pierce. Spirit River product Kelly Erickson is the lead with the Pierce foursome.

Team Skrlik, which includes Nampa-raised sisters Kayla and Ashton Skrlik, will play Sarah Wark’s team based in Abbotsford, B.C. in Draw 1.

There are 25 teams taking part. They are divided into five pools.

Teams skipped by Laura Walker, Kerri Einarson, Chelsea Cary, and Rachel Homan are also taking part.

The champion will be decided Monday.
